HBA Week3 talk with teachers

Besides Chinese classes, various activities are also important features of HBA. Weekdays often have "experiencing Chinese culture" activities, like learning about Chinese majong, chess, and tea, while weekends often have sightseeing trips. All of these activities are great opportunity to learn about Chinese culture, history, society, and current problems. However, I think the best way to learn about China is to talk with teachers at HBA.

All teachers at HBA grew up in China or Taiwan and know about China. Since Chinese classes cover various social problems of China, I often go to office hours and ask teachers more about these problems. Or I could just talk about random stuff like Chinese music, dramas, cultural relationship with Japan, and history of the two countries.

It's always the best to talk to local people when want to understand about that place. HBA, especially office hours, provides that opportunity everyday.
